Cards are dealt: 13 days remaining

I have 13 working days remaining at my current employer. In an effort to stick to my plan of building businesses of my own, this is just one of those necessary things that had to happen.

I've been dreaming of the day that I could willingly quit the 9-5, in my case (I preferred the 6-3). It hasn't sunk in that in about 2 short weeks I won't have to be stuck going into an office and sitting at a cubicle for 8 hours a day. That sounds almost like freedom to me.

The move toward freedom won't be easy. I'll need to stick to a tight schedule and continue to be as productive as possible on my own ventures. It will free up quite a bit of time that I didn't have to continue to market an existing local business and to grow a brand new business.

One of the things that I love most about building new businesses is the unknown. Finding new markets and creating products that customers find valuable is exhilarating to me. I've realized that is what I thrive on while developing this brand new business that's been in the works for the past 4-5 months. The entire process from initial business idea, through product creation, customer experience inception, marketing and hiring, all the way to serving the first customer.

Your performance all depends on the plan and execution. What you get out it solely depends on what you put in. I think this will be a positive change for 2016.
